Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues: How much, if anything, is being budgeted in the 2025/26 financial year for redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how much has been budgeted and spent in the past five financial years?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Disabled People - Whaikaha has not planned or budgeted for any redundancies or other termination packages for 2025/26. I refer to the answer provided 24506 (2025) for previous redundancies costs. In relation to Disability Support Services, which is part of the Ministry of Social Development, I refer the member to written reply 24464 (2025).
