24506 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues: How many redundancy processes have been initiated, if any, in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as at 22 May 2025, since 27 November 2023, and how much was the total cost in New Zealand dollar terms, if any?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that since 1 December 2024, when the Ministry of Disabled People - Whaikaha became a standalone agency, two phases of change at the Ministry resulted in the disestablishment of some roles. The total costs of these processes as at 22 May 2025 was $299,123.83 In relation to Disability Support Services, which is part of the Ministry of Social Development, I refer the member to written reply 24463 (2025).
