Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: What restructures, if any, are planned for the 2025/26 financial year in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, listed by when this may occur, how much is budgeted for restructuring costs and estimated savings to be accrued as a result of restructuring?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I am the Vote Minister for Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet and the responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency is a departmental agency hosted by DPMC. I am advised that officials are currently gathering the information sought as part of the 2025/26 Estimates Examination of Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet for the hearing of the Governance and Administration Committee scheduled in June 2025. Once the hearing has been completed the document will be available on the following website: Governance and Administration - New Zealand Parliament, I anticipate that the document will be available on 16 June 2025.
