Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Revenue: What restructures, if any, are planned for the 2025/26 financial year in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, listed by when this may occur, how much is budgeted for restructuring costs and estimated savings to be accrued as a result of restructuring?

Hon Simon Watts: Officials advise Inland Revenue has not set aside any funding for redundancy payments in 2025/26. However, Inland Revenue will accrue into 2025/26 an estimated $0.3 million for changes processes that occurred in May 2025. Proposals for possible changes to Inland Revenue’s primary data, analytics and insights functions was released for consultation on 28 May 2025.
