24457 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Revenue: How many redundancy processes have been initiated, if any, in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as at 22 May 2025, since 27 November 2023, and how much was the total cost in New Zealand dollar terms, if any?

Hon Simon Watts: Officials advise from 27 November 2023, Inland Revenue conducted three separate restructuring processes where redundancy was a possible outcome (one of which contained a voluntary redundancy process), these being the Data, Analytics & Insights (DA&I) senior leadership change, the Governance, Ministerial & Executive Services (GMES) change and the Executive Leadership change. The total cost of redundancy payments from 27 November 2023 to 7 May 2025 is $1.269m. Of this $0.340m related to voluntary redundancy processes.
