24448 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Police: How much, if anything, is being budgeted in the 2025/26 financial year for redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how much has been budgeted and spent in the past five financial years?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police continually reviews its structure and processes to ensure that the organisation is achieving its objectives, this will continue in 2025/26. Police does not hold a centralised budget for restructuring costs, and there is no centralised savings target for restructuring in 2025/26. Between 22 May 2020 and 22 May 2025 there have been $7,324,103.12 worth of costs associated with redundancy payments, severance or other termination.
