24423 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Māori Development: How many redundancy processes have been initiated, if any, in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as at 22 May 2025, since 27 November 2023, and how much was the total cost in New Zealand dollar terms, if any?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that between 27 November 2023 and 22 May 2025, two redundancy processes were initiated as part of the following two change processes, 'Fiscal Sustainability and Effectiveness 2024' and 'Governance Puni – Realignment for Strategic Impact'. I am advised that Te Puni Kōkiri will prepare information on the cost of redundancies for the upcoming Māori Affairs Select Committee's Estimates Review process and will be available publicly in due course.
