Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: How much, if anything, is being budgeted in the 2025/26 financial year for redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how much has been budgeted and spent in the past five financial years?

Hon Chris Penk: No decisions have been made about redundancies at Land Information New Zealand in 2025/26. Any proposed future change that could result in redundancies will be worked through at the appropriate time, and costs will be managed within baseline. Information on the amount spent on redundancy, severance, and termination payments for the 2024/25 financial year to 31 March 2025, and four previous financial years can be found as an appendix to this response.
