Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified, resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, what percentage of employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, if any, are located in the Otago Region, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the relevant Chief Executive. Furthermore, I am advised that decisions on proposed organisational changes not yet finalised. Reassignment and expression of interest processes will continue once proposals are finalised.
