Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What portion of the additional operating funding provided through Vote Corrections 2026/27, if any, is attributable specifically to remand population growth, expressed in both dollar terms and as a percentage of the total additional operating funding?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that funding is not disaggregated in this way. The prisoner volume initiative encompasses total prisoner growth, which includes both remand and sentenced prisoners.
