Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Health: How much, if anything, is being budgeted in the 2025/26 financial year for redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how much has been budgeted and spent in the past five financial years?

Hon David Seymour: Pharmac has not set budgetary provisions or caps for redundancy for the the 2025/26 financial year. Information relating to the amounts spent on redundancies in previous years can be found in written responses to questions asked through the Select Committee Annual Review process, which can be found on Parliament’s website.
