Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: How many remand prisoners, if any, are expected, forecast, planned, or assumed to participate in expanded rehabilitation or reintegration services funded through the “Corrections Rehabilitation Programmes – Extending to Remand Prisoners” initiative during 2026/27, broken down by prison site; programme or service type; and quarter?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Corrections is committed to extending rehabilitation and reintegration services to all remand prisoners. However, I am advised that due to the prison operational context and transient nature of the remand population, Corrections is unable to provide a breakdown of the information as requested by the member.
