Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What measures, indicators, targets, milestones, or reporting requirements, if any, will be used during 2026/27 to assess the delivery and effectiveness of expanded rehabilitation or reintegration services for remand prisoners funded through the “Corrections Rehabilitation Programmes – Extending to Remand Prisoners” initiative in Budget 2026?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections routinely undertakes evaluations of its programmes and services to determine what is working well and areas for improvements. This includes the rehabilitation and reintegration services expanded to remand prisoners.
