24339 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: What specific instructions, directions or advice, if any, have been issued in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, regarding employment contract matters for the 2025/26 financial year, listed by title and date?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Government’s Workforce Policy Statement (Workforce Policy) relating to the negotiation of employment agreements and effective management of employment relations was issued on 7 August 2024 along with directions to Public Service Chief Executives. The Public Service Commissioner issued conditions of delegation relating to personnel costs and tenure-based progression systems to Public Service Chief Executives on 20 December 2024. Updated delegations for teacher and principal collective bargaining were issued to the Secretary for Education on 2 May 2025.
