24329 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: How much, if any, has been budgeted for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any for the 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026 financial year?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that as at 23 May 2025, the New Zealand Customs Services’ (Customs) 2025/26 budget has not been approved, however, a budget of a similar level to the 2024/25 budget of $40,000 for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme is anticipated. Carbon emissions budgeting for the staff of the Border Executive Board Secretariat is included within Customs overall carbon emissions budget.
