24317 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Corrections: How much, if any, has been budgeted for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any for the 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026 financial year?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that detailed budgets are in the process of being finalised for both operating and capital expenditure. The direct operational costs associated with the Carbon Neutral Government Programme, such as the emissions verification fee, will be met from baseline and are expected to be $0.02 million. This excludes staff costs relating to Corrections’ overall sustainability work. I am further advised that, in relation to the Capital Plan, electric vehicle and boiler replacement programmes have been planned to continue, totalling $13.4 million.
