Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage: What restructures, if any, are planned for the 2025/26 financial year in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, listed by when this may occur, how much is budgeted for restructuring costs and estimated savings to be accrued as a result of restructuring?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry for Culture and Heritage will commence a restructuring in June 2025, with implementation in September 2025. As the change process will be delivered internally there are no costs budgeted beyond potential redundancies. The cost of redundancies is unknown at this stage, however, will be met within baselines. The change will ensure that the Ministry is able to operate within expected baselines in the 2025/26 financial year and outyears, addressing a baseline reduction of $2m per year from 2025/26 and forecast cost pressures.
