Dan Rosewarne to the Minister of Transport: In relation to reply 13927 (2026), has NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi undertaken any analysis using town or regional-level data to estimate how many Community Road Safety Funding (CRSF) applications came from rural communities in the past 12 months?

Hon Chris Bishop: No. I am advised that NZTA did ensure an appropriate geographic spread as a grant allocation criteria. In addition some grants are for ‘national’ organisations who will deliver services at the community level nationwide.
