24264 (2026). Dan Rosewarne to the Minister of Transport: In relation to reply 13927 (2026), how many Community Road Safety Funding (CRSF) applications were declined in the past 12 months, listed by town and region?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA is still in the process of finalising successful grants. However, at this stage 116 applications have been advised they have not been successful and a geographic breakdown is as follows: Auckland – 19 Bay of Plenty – 14 Canterbury – 12 Gisborne-Tairawhiti – 7 Greater Wellington - 19 Hawkes Bay – 11 Manawatu-Whanganui – 11 Northland – 11 Otago/Southland - 5 Taranaki – 7 Nelson/Marlborough/Tasman - 6 Waikato – 16 Nationwide – 2 Please be advised that the total number included in this breakdown is higher than the total number of applications declines due to some initiatives taking place in multiple areas/regions.
