24233 (2025). Celia Wade-Brown to the Minister of Conservation: What organisations, if any, has the Minister engaged with on developing an engagement campaign around the draft Predator Free strategy and Biodiversity Implementation Plan?

Hon Tama Potaka: In planning for public consultation on the Predator Free 2050 and Biodiversity Strategy discussion documents, officials incorporated feedback from: • Other central government agencies • Te Uru Kahika (representing regional councils) and early engagement with Iwi/Hapū/Māori • Key Predator Free 2050 programme collaborators and environmental NGOs undertaken in 2024. Department of Conservation officials led the development of the engagement approach for public consultation. Officials have been keeping me informed throughout the process.
