Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning Monday 19 May 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when is any such consultation expected to close?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is not planning to open any consultation processes in the week beginning 19 May 2025. Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that three consultations opened on the week beginning Monday, 19 May 2025. These are in the Finance and Place-based Groups. These consultations are targeted re-consultations in three discrete areas, following the release of the decision on the wider Kāinga Ora restructure consultation, on 21 May 2025. Across the three areas being re-consulted on there is a proposed net reduction of six positions.
