24012 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Customs: How many FTE positions, if any, are expected to be disestablished across the agencies, departments and other entities for which the Minister is responsible as a result of savings made in Budget 2026 for votes the Minister is responsible for, if any, broken down by agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible?

Hon Casey Costello: The Government announced measures to transform the public service as part of Budget 2026 on 28 May 2026. I am advised that Customs is considering the implications of the transformation programme and that Customs has not disestablished any roles as a consequence of the savings announced in Budget 2026. Any decisions on future full time equivalent staff reductions for Customs will be considered as part of the Government transformation programme.
