23991 (2025). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Women: Did she discuss any longer-term options in making changes to the pay equity process with the Minister of Finance, and if so, on what date?

Hon Nicola Grigg: I was involved in the process from the outset of the Equal Pay Amendment Bill. Throughout the process, I advocated for women to my Ministerial colleagues to ensure that a system to raise and resolve pay equity claims in a robust and sustainable manner remained in New Zealand. Pay equity claims can be raised today.
