23919 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Did the Minister also advocate for "Option 2: retrospective amendment excluding active litigation" in the MBIE Regulatory Impact Statement of 5 March 2025 with Cabinet colleagues, and if not, why not?

Hon Scott Simpson: All options were considered, however it was determined that option 3, to apply the amendment retrospectively including to active litigation was the best course of action.
