23895 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What is the breakdown of the $143.6 million to replace and upgrade the Auckland and Wellington metropolitan rail networks by project and location?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by the Ministry of Transport that KiwiRail identifies projects to be funded in collaboration with Auckland Transport and Greater Wellington Regional Council. These projects will be reflected in the Auckland and Wellington Network Management Plans. The Ministry of Transport will brief me on the proposed allocation of funding once these projects are agreed.
