23878 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: Does she support the criminalisation of coercive control?

Hon Karen Chhour: Coercive control is already referenced in the definition of family violence in the Family Violence Act 2018. The Government is not currently considering legislative change for a standalone coercive control offence, however, it has not been ruled out for future consideration.
