23867 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Has the Ministry of Health examined how obligations under the draft WHO pandemic treaty would interact with New Zealand’s legal framework on public health emergencies and individual rights, and if so, what were its findings?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that to date, the Ministry has focused on supporting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s participation in the treaty negotiations.
