23863 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: How many parents, if any, have attended Incredible Years Parent in 2022 and 2023, broken down by region?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that in the 2021/22 financial year, 1,944 caregivers of children aged 3 to 8 attended the Incredible Years Parent (IYP) programme. In the 2022/23 financial year, 2,415 caregivers attended the IYP programme, and in the 2023/24 financial year, 1,192 have attended the IYP programme to December 2023. In total, 5,551 caregivers attended the IYP programme across 2022 and 2023. I refer the Member to the attached table which shows the regional breakdown of these numbers. The Ministry collects the data presented annually, at the end of each financial year.
