23816 (2025). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: Further to his answer to written question 22184 (2025): is the Minister confirming that the Government does not have a plan to scale the Caulerpa response if further spread occurs, on the East Cape and Coromandel regions?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: No, I am not confirming that. Measures to limit spread, such as Controlled Area Notices (CAN’s), will continue to be used as appropriate and removal activity will be guided by the outcome of current technology pilots, made possible by Government investment.
