23663 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister of Conservation: Does the Department of Conservation have sufficient resourcing to undertake new roles as prescribed in the Wildlife (Authorisations) Act?

Hon Tama Potaka: The enacted amendments to the Wildlife Act 1953 clarified and reinforced already established processes, therefore I am advised no additional resourcing is required to process and issue wildlife authorisations (permits) under the Act.
