23616 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: How many, if any, survivors of abuse in care did the Minister meet with specifically to consult on the redress announcement made on the 9 May 2025, listed by date and number of participants?
Hon Erica Stanford: I heard the views of a range of survivors on redress ahead of the announcement on 9 May 2025. Details of specific scheduled engagements can be found in my proactively released diary. I have also discussed redress with dozens of survivors that I have met at events, including the tabling of the Royal Commission's final report in July 2024 and the public apology in November 2024. I also receive feedback from officials on their engagements with survivors and hear from survivors through the correspondence that I receive.
