23402 (2025). Takutai Tarsh Kemp to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Who, if anyone, was consulted in development of the Equal Pay Amendment Bill 2025?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The following agencies were consulted in the development of the Equal Pay Amendment Bill 2025: The Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, the Treasury and the Public Service Commission developed the Cabinet paper that sought agreement to the policy proposals. The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Crown Law Office were consulted on the Cabinet paper. The Ministry of Education and Health New Zealand were consulted on the policy proposals in the Cabinet paper.
