23396 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How, if at all, will it be determined if a student needs additional support for mathematics, other than introducing a test for students at the end of Year 2?

Hon Erica Stanford: Schools use a range of assessment practices, which include tests, classroom observation and tasks to determine when a student is not making expected progress towards curriculum expectations.
