23278 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Regulation: Of the 18 submissions to the red tape tipline between October and December 2024 which "led to regulation changes, improved information for New Zealanders or will contribute insights for future sector reviews", how many (if any) will contribute insights for future sector reviews?

Hon David Seymour: Officials advise all individual issues raised through the red tape portal are themed to provide insights into potential future sector reviews. Decisions on future review topics are made by Cabinet. Of the submissions the Member refers to, six directly led to improved information for New Zealanders and three led to regulation changes. In future, red tape portal data will be published quarterly on the Ministry website.
