Francisco Hernandez to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: How, if at all, does the Minister believe that the passage of a Regulatory Standards Bill would affect the quality of regulation and outcomes within their portfolio area?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Regulatory Standards Bill is intended to increase the quality of regulation by increasing transparency and making it clearer where legislation does not meet the principles of responsible regulation, enabling New Zealanders to spend less time on compliance and more time on productive activities.
