23108 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: How many children currently participate in reading recovery?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have been advised by the Ministry of Education that the most recent available data shows that in 2022, 5,789 students received intensive 1:1 Reading Recovery support. This continues a decline in student numbers from 2005 when 11,054 received 1:1 support.
