I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 27 May and 31 May 2024: • NEMA’s Position on New Zealand’s Weather Forecasting System Review (Project Hau Nuku) Options and Recommendations – 28 May 2024 • Meeting with IAG New Zealand – 28 May 2024 • Cyclone Recovery Funding Summary 1-pager – 28 May 2024 • Meeting with Suncorp New Zealand – 29 May 2024 • Meeting with One NZ – 29 May 2024 • Monitoring of Whakaari / White Island – 31 May 2024 • Fortnightly Stats Report to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery – 31 May 2024 • North Island Weather Events: Progress update on categorisation, buyouts, sediment and debris, infrastructure and local transport projects – 31 May 2024 • Cyclone Recovery Unit Fortnightly report – 31 May 2024.
