23007 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Education: Does the Minister consider that sex and gender education should be optional?

Hon Erica Stanford: I consider that high quality age appropriate relationship and sexuality education is important for children and young people to have access to. I also support the current legal right for parents/guardians to withdraw their children from relationships and sexuality education if they take that decision.
