22932 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: How many teachers have attended Incredible Years Teacher broken down by region?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Incredible Years Autism Parent (IYAP) is for participants who are caregivers, whānau and family of tamariki aged 2-5 years. Caregivers and whānau can include foster parents, grandparents and other extended family members. The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) does not collect the number of children referred to further intervention following the IYAP programme. In the 2023/24 financial year to date, 1,740 teachers have attended the Incredible Years Teacher (IYT) programme for teachers of children aged 3 to 8 and the Incredible Beginnings (IB) programme for kaiako of children aged 1 to 5.
