Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January – March 2024 in implementing the goal ‘Develop partnerships and relationships with Iwi and Māori service providers working with tāngata whaikaha Māori/disabled people.' as part of the Disability Action Plan?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that this is a short term action in Corrections’ Disability Action Plan. I am advised that Corrections is continuing to participate in and host sessions that support their work to ensure services are provided in a culturally appropriate manner that recognises and supports the expression of hauora Māori models of care.
