22903 (2025). Rachel Boyack to the Minister of Health: What proportion of the 275 patients removed from the Nelson Marlborough urology waitlist were notified that they would not receive a specialist appointment?
Hon Simeon Brown: As I said in Written Parliamentary Question 22912 (2025), I am advised that all 275 patients were provided with a specialist assessment of their condition and relevant advice. They were all informed that a further appointment with the specialist urologist was not required at this time based on best-practice clinical criteria. Ensuring that urology patients' needs are addressed is a key part of our Government's focus on putting patients first and ensuring that all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare.
