22894 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: What protections, if any, will be put in place to ensure charter school facilities are fit for purpose?

Hon David Seymour: The Education Review Office (ERO) will check charter schools before they open, and ERO will be enabled to review charter schools. Sponsors will be responsible for ensuring that their premises are suitable for their charter school. Sponsors’ compliance will be monitored and enforced as part of the initial and ongoing assurance processes. The Authorisation Board will have a suite of interventions to use against poor performing charter schools.
