22837 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is Health New Zealand’s projected timeframe to fill all currently vacant doctor positions across Northland hospitals?

Hon Simeon Brown: As the Member will be aware, Health New Zealand is currently advertising for senior medical officers to fill vacancies across hospitals in Northland as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring that all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare. As the Member will also be aware, it is not possible to give a reliable estimate of when all vacancies will be filled.
