22808 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Prime Minister: How often, if at all, does he receive progress updates on the government’s quarterly action plans, and who provides these updates?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) is the lead agency for coordinating information from across the agencies responsible for each Action in the Government’s Quarterly Plan. My officials in DPMC provide me with progress reports on the Quarterly Plan every 2 to 3 weeks. Regarding the selection and inclusion of Actions in the Quarterly Plan, this is determined based on advice I receive and in consultation with my ministers and confirmed by Cabinet.
