Camilla Belich to the Minister of Defence: On what date, if at all, did the Minister first receive advice regarding the role reductions being made as part of savings made in Budget 2026 for votes the Minister is responsible for, if any, and from whom, broken down by agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible?

Hon Chris Penk: Monthly lists of briefings that I have received as part of my Defence portfolio responsibilities are regularly proactively released on the New Zealand Defence Force website at https://www.nzdf.mil.nz/media-centre/official-information-requests/ At this stage, no decisions have been made about specific roles that may be affected.
