Camilla Belich to the Minister of Health: Was the Public Service Commissioner consulted on the role reductions being made as part of savings made in Budget 2026 for votes the Minister is responsible for, if any, and what advice did the Commissioner provide, if anything, broken down by agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Ministry of Health and Health New Zealand were not subject to a requirement for any cost savings to be made at Budget 2026, therefore the Member’s question is not applicable.
