22717 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: What functions, if any, will Industry Skills Boards deliver that Workforce Development Councils do not currently perform?

Hon Penny Simmonds: Industry Skills Boards will provide strategic workforce analysis and planning and provide advice to the Tertiary Education Commission about funding. Industry Skills Boards will be responsible for managing the transition of work-based learning for up to two years.
