22715 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: What are the responsibilities Workforce Development Councils have that Industry Skills Boards won't?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have reviewed the functions, many of which are core to any vocational education and training system. Workforce Development Councils had a function to provide brokerage services which Industry Skills Boards will not have. Several of the remaining functions are more clearly scoped.
