22700 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: What were the forecasted and actual enrolment figures for Te Pūkenga providers for semester one of 2025, and what percentage of their funding allowance did this equate to, listed by title of provider?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) prepare forecasts for many of the funds allocated to Te Pūkenga. The TEC prepares forecasts by specific fund, and these forecasts estimate the total Equivalent Full Time Students (EFTS) and value of delivery for a calendar year. As such, the TEC is not able to provide forecast enrolment figures by semester. Further, Te Pūkenga enrols learners throughout the year - some programmes may operate on a semester basis, while other programmes operate on rolling enrolments throughout the year. TEC does not collect or receive information that includes whether an enrolment is semester-based.
