Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning 12 May with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and how many roles are affected?

Hon Scott Simpson: As Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. In respect of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the Member to the Minister for Economic Growth’s answer to written parliamentary question 22610 (2025). With regard to Crown entities under the Commerce and Consumer Affairs Portfolio, I am advised that no consultations took place.
